Ideas formulated in one realm of creativity, can and should influence one another. The multiplicity of medium, when fluid and authentic, allows for a freedom of interpretation that is unique. Fashion and Fine Art is one such symbiotic relationship. Often described in parallel as the body being a canvas with clothing being the paint, they have similar processes and intent. The word fashion literally means style or mode or approach, while art is the expression or application of skill. The interchangeability and natural compatibility of these terms is seen also in its outcome. Beyond the utilitarian, fashion is a representation of oneself, just like art’s subjective nature, bringing to you the context of the artist and allowing the viewer their own individual perception.
The world today calls for collaboration and connection between all the arts. So it is at this amazing crossroads that we put together an exhibition of art and fashion that welcomes all connoisseurs of creative expression.
