ISHA PIMPALKHARE

Born in 1992, Isha Pimpalkhare is a textile and mixed media artist, who situates her practice at the convergence of art and design, with a focus on creating emotive and engaging tactile environments. She combines technology with textile, bringing the idea of smart design into an art installation. Textiles being central to her work, she aims to question the role materiality plays in our everyday lives, by creating heightened sensory experiences through her interactive art.
Isha graduated with a Masters in Textiles (Mixed Media, 2017-2019) from the Royal College of Art (RCA), London. Her time at the RCA helped her develop a strong identity and methodology for her practice. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelors in Textile Design at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, India.
